Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe has started the reconstruction of Oke-Ipin community bridge in Eruwa, Ibarapa East Local Government Area of Oyo state.
Tegbe made this known in a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday adding that he paid an unscheduled visit to site.
He said: “Yesterday, we visited Oke-Ipin community in Eruwa, where I interacted with stakeholders and paid an unscheduled visit to access the level of progress in the reconstruction of Oke-Ipin bridge.
“Before our intervention, the rains have always been a source of worry in Oke-Ipin and adjoining communities, as the only connecting bridge becomes submerged, before it’s eventual collapse.
“With the construction of the new, standard bridge, the residents and passersby can finally experience relief.”
The statement further said that Mr Adedokun, Secretary, Oke Ipin landlord association New Eruwa and Prince Abiodun Olabiyi, a community stakeholder who spoke on behalf of the community expressed their gratitude for the thoughtfulness and their delight and the pace of work.
They pledged to reciprocating the gesture with their votes.
