Lawmaker representing Oorelope, Olorunsogo and Irepo Federal Constituency, Hon Olumide Ojerinde has trained and empowered youths and women who are his constituents on modern methods of processing cassava.
The two-day training which kicked off on Monday at the Bayo Ojerinde Memorial Hall, Oke, Igboho was facilitated by the lawmaker.
Nothing less than 70 beneficiaries drawn from the 3 local government areas are participants.
The training which was organised by Core Value System Engineering and Consulting Limited, saw many constituents speaking during the training.
One of the trainees, Alhaji Bukoye Moruf explained value chain as the set of actors and activities that bring basic agricultural product from production in the field to final consumption, that is, the raw materials and resources necessary to create agricultural products been distributed.
Alhaji Bukoye also used the occasion to commend Ojerinde for bringing dividend of democracy to his constituents. He urged the electorates to vote for the second term ambition of Honorable Ojerinde.
Also speaking at the event, Alhaji Abdullateef who represented Honorable Olumide Abiodun Ojerinde at the training, noted that the training is not for a political campaign but fulfilling the promises made in 2019.
He urged the beneficiaries to make use of the training received.
The training continues today as the beneficiaries will be lecture and given a token as take off grant.
