She noted that the governor has fulfilled his promise to ensure salary of workers in Oyo state are paid on the 25th day of every month.

Speaking further, she maintained that Makinde had since the emergence of the present government improved the cordial relationship between the Labour force and government of the state adding that backlogs of promotions of workers were settled while there is no case of victimization or harassment of the state workers.

Speaking on recruitment of workers, she stressed that NUPSRAW as union has not been considered for any appointment over the years despite the vacancies in different cadres of the state government.

“Over the years, series of fresh appointments made into the Service of Oyo State have not favoured my Union in all ramifications, despite the fact that there had always been vacancies across cadres within the union.

“In the Public Service of Oyo State, NUPSRAW remained the worst-hit Industrial Union which did not enjoy in recruitment exercises made by the Government. This has adversely-and negatively affected the membership of the Union. I am, therefore, imploring the Oyo State Government to consider this union in subsequent recruitment exercises.”

She further noted that the cadre for confidential secretaries has been one of the most stagnated cadre in the union. She added that the cadre had not benefitted from any advancement or elongation of grade levels since 1999.

She however call for a pragmatic action to enable members of the cadre move out from grade level 09 to 14.

She further appealed that all cadres of the union which includes official reporters, confidential secretaries, Data Processing Officers and Secretarial assistants be included in the next batch of training to be organized by the State government.

In her Keynote Address, ghe Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde ably represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Establishment and Training, Oyo State Government, Mrs. Adebusuyi enjoin public workers to prioritize the importance of retraining in the course of delivering their constitutional duties.
