The People’s Democratic Party, PDP Senatorial candiate in Oyo North Senatorial District, Mr Akinwole Akinwale also known as Wolekanle has appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon Hosea Ayoola Agboola (Halleluyah), party leaders, council chairmen and other stakeholders for supporting him to win the party’s ticket at the primaries.

Akinwale, on Monday, won the election with 414 votes out of 415 vote casted during the PDP Senatorial Primary, in Iseyin.

In a statement personally signed and made available by his media office, Wolekanle who equally celebrated his 50th birthday on the day said he was grateful to God and the party leaders for their unflinching support and love.

“The overwhelming support I have been enjoying since the begining of the race cannot be quantified. It’s a reflection of good character and love our leaders have for the state and I promised not to disappoint.

“Emerging as a candidate is just a step to victory ahead. I will work with everybody to ensure total victory for PDP at all levels during the election in 2023.

“I am open to advise and discussions that will help PDP’s mission and our people in Oyo state. I promise to do everything to promote unity and electoral Victory in 2023.”

He also urged resident of Oyo state who are yet to register for voters card to get their cards before the expiration day so that they can vote massively for continuity of Engineer Seyi Makinde and other elective candidates of the party.
