Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sports, on Wednesday, met with stakeholders on ways to put an end to the disappointing result recorded by Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan in the just concluded Nigeria National League, NNL season.
The meeting which was held at the Ministry of Youth and Sports complex, Agodi, Ibadan, was presided over by the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Olubisi Adegoke.
During the meeting, stakeholders deliberated on various issues that could revive the glory of the Oluyole Warriors.
The meeting was sequel to the three zero thrashing of Shooting Stars by Akwa Starlets in a NNL play-off played in Asaba, Delta state, last Monday.
Insideoyo.com reports that the defeat deprived the Ibadan darling team a spot in the Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL next season.
The stakeholders in the over three hours meeting, came up with far reaching recommendations for the club.
According to the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Minsitry, Mrs. Adegoke, the recommendations have been forwarded to His Excellency, Governor Oluwaseyi Makinde, for approval and she assured all Supporters of 3SC both at home and in diaspora that the state government would rekindle the confidence they have in the Club.
Representatives from Shooting Stars Football Club, Oyo State Sports Council, Oyo State Football Association and major football stakeholders attended the meeting.
