The Hausa and Fulani across the 315 wards and 33 local government areas of Oyo State have promised to give the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, President Muhammadu Buhari, a total of 700, 000 votes in the February 16 election.

The promise was made at the inauguration of the Oyo State Fulani, Hausa otherwise called FULBE Support Forum for Buhari/Osinbajo in Iseyin area of the state.

The state Public Relations Officer of FULBE, Amina Abdullahi, in a statement on Sunday quoted the National Coordinator of FULBE, Alhaji Mohammed Dan Alli, as saying that there was no going back on their decision to mobilise votes for Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.

She said in order to achieve their target, the forum’s National Secretary, Alhaji Aminu Suleiman, inaugurated the 33 local government coordinators and the state coordinator to go round the state and campaign for Buhari.

The statement further quoted the state coordinator, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar, as pledging 100 per cent delivery of about 700,000 votes of eligible Hausa and Fulani voters across the state.

Over 10,000 FULBE members were reported to have attended the programme where the state governor, Abiola Ajimobi, was represented by the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Wasiu Dauda.
