The ruling families of Oguntayi and Adio in Lanlate have appealed to the Oyo State government led by Governor Abiola Ajimobi to implement the judgement of the court as delivered by Justice Bayo Taiwo.

The representatives of the families said this at a press conference in Ibadan, the state capital on Tuesday.

Speaking on behalf of the families, Barrister Mufutau Eyitayo from the Oguntayi ruling house said “We are using this medium to appeal to the Oyo State Government led by the Executive Governor of the State Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters as well as the Ibarapa East Local Government to implement the judgement of the 5th day October, 2018 delivered by Justice B. A. Taiwo in favour of the Oguntayi and Adio ruling house.

“We believe that this state government work hand in hand with the judiciary and so we appeal that the Oyo State government should implement the prayer of the claimant, granted by Justice B. A. Taiwo.”

Recall that insideoyo.com had earlier reported that the State High court has sacked the Baale of Lanlate, Abdulateef Olawuyi Olagoke and reinstated Olusegun Bolawale Oladejo of the Oguntayi and Adio families.

The families appreciated the state government for allowing fair hearing during the legal tussle and also promised to be law abiding.

“The above named families wish to appreciate the Oyo State government for allowing fair hearing during the legal tussle over the Onilala stool. We sincerely appreciate Senator Abiola Ajimobi for giving the Judiciary a free hand to operate in delivery of justice to the common man”.
