The Global Council of Oke-ogun Indegenes (GCOI), a socio-economic-cultural fora of Oke Ogun indegenes at home and diaspora has appealed to the Oyo state Police Command to apprehend killers of popular tradio-medical expert, Alhaji Fatai Yusuf popularly known as Oko Oloyun.
The group made this known in a release signed by its Secretary, Mr Fatai Adesokan and made available to insideoyo.com on Friday.
GCOI said the death of the Oke Ogun-born icon is a shock to the association.
The statement reads “We received the news of his death with shock and disbelief. The death of Late Alhaji Fatai Yusuf, Oko Oloyun is a dastard act. We urge the police to work assiduously to unravel the motive behind the killing with a view to arresting the perpetrators.
“It is unfortunate that, a man was cut down in his prime while traveling in his usual endeavors of business and service to humanity in which he was popular for all over Nigeria from his Igando, Lagos base.
“He lived a life of service to humanity and a very humane person. He was one of prominent Okeogun indegenes from Otu, Itesiwaju local government, Oyo state.
“While praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased, we condole with family, friends, good people of Otu, the traditional institutions in all the ten local governments area of Oke ogun and Oyo state in general. We pray to God for fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss”.
