Rt Hon Abdulwasi Musah PhD, a former Deputy Speaker and Chairman, Oyo state House of Assembly Service Commission (OYHASC), has commiserated with the Ogunmola family, Ago Are community and Oke Ogun in general over the demise of Hon Jacob Funmi Ogunmola.
Musah who paid a condolence visit to the Ogunmola family on Tuesday, described the demise of the former ATISBO local government area chairman as a great loss to Oke Ogun and Oyo state at large.
He said Ogunmola’s openness and generosity was for everyone irrespective of religion or town adding that he will be missed by the people of Oke Ogun.
He described the roles played by the late Ogunmola during the struggle towards the emancipation of Old Ifedapo as that of a good son of the soil.
He added that the kindness Ogunmola showed to his wife during the naming ceremony of one of his children remains evergreen.
Ogunmola untill his demise was the candidate of the Accord party for ATISBO/Saki East/Saki West federal constituency for the 2023 general elections.
The statement read: “On behalf of my family and my political structure, I want to use this opportunity to commiserate with the Ogunmola family, people of Ago Are and Oke Ogun in general over the demise of Hon Jacob Funmi Ogunmola (JFO).
“The demise of Hon Jacob Funmi Ogunmola is a great loss to Ago Are, Oke Ogun and Oyo state in general. Ogunmola’s openness and generosity was for everyone irrespective of religion or town which will be greatly missed by the people.
“I remember the roles Hon Jacob Funmi Ogunmola played during our struggle for the emancipation of Old Ifedapo which I can regard as that of a good son of the soil. His kindness towards my wife during the naming ceremony of one of my children remains evergreen to me and my family.
“I pray God give the family and everyone the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
