Still reeling in shock over the death of the 2023 Accord Party House of Representative’s Candidate for Saki West/ Saki East/ ATISBO Federal Constituency, Hon Jacob Funmi Ogunmola, a close ally, social commentator, public affairs analyst, Mr Azeez Fatai Adesokan has postponed his birthday colloquium slated for January 10th till further notice in honour of Ogunmola.
Azeez Fatai Adesokan also known as Sai Rahma made this known in a letter obtained, on Tuesday.
He revealed how close he was with the late Jacob Ogunmola while he was alive. He said it’s human and demanding to mourn a great patriot.
His words: “I chose to consider in my mini capacity to call for postponement of my 2nd Azeez Fatai Adesokan slated for January in honor of Late Hon., Jacob Ogunmola whose death is misery and imperative to be reflective to a man that, our relationship transcend political party affiliations or aspirations.
“We were once together in same party, APC, before, he expressed his Democratic right as enshrined in Nigeria Constitution to aspired to represent our ( old Ifedapo) Federal Constituency under Accord Party platform.
“Last year, at my 1st Azeez Fatai Adesokan Colloquium, Late Hon., Jacob Funmi Ogunmola did not just present, he was very supportive in cash and logistics in a well attended event at Fresh Fm Radio 105.9 Event Hall, Dr Yinka Ayefele Music House, Challenge, Ibadan.
“We shall all die someday, Al-Quran imposed on us that, it is only Allah that, gives life and take it, hence, to sober and mourn our loved one’s in modest ways and offer prayers for their repose is necessary.
“I have since visited late Ogunmola GRA private residence in lagos to pay condolence to his wife and children.
My political philosophy connotes humanity trival, mundane or petty.
“Democracy is encompassing not limited and there should be suspension of hostility in any given contest as only Allah that, gives power and no need to struggle on what is all vanity, as we shall all die someday.”
