Addressing the  matriculating students, the Ag. Rector, Dr. Gbade advised fresh students to shun deviant behaviours and embrace conduct that reflect the ideals of responsible students and members of the society.

The statement reads: “All grace and adoration unto God Almighty for the opportunity to stand before this congregation in line with the Institutional Policy Provision to matriculate fresh students for the 2022/2023 academic session, which marks the official entry of new students into this institution of learning. I can assure you parents and guardians that your children are in the right place.”

“Being the major reason for  this gathering as matriculants, it means that you have fulfilled all necessary admission requirements as contained in the Polytechnic Handbook. On this note, accept my heartfelt congratulations. The institution is known for admitting deserving and qualified students, and it has, at the moment, had all its programmes fully accredited.”

“For the 2021/2022 academic session, a total number of 2,673 (1,600 for ND programmes; 386 for ND-DPT; and 687 for HND) were admitted into the institution.
However, for the 2022/2023 session, we are matriculating a total number of 3,380 students (2,004 for ND, 562 for ND-DPT, and 858 for HND). These statistics imply a 26 percent increase when compared to the previous session, making it yet another remarkable progress in the history of the institution.”

“It may interest you to know that you are the second set of students that I am admitting into the membership of this institution in my capacity as the Acting Rector of this institution. I, therefore, challenge you to key into my vision by putting in the necessary efforts to become outstanding in your academic endeavours.”

“At Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, we frown at any form of misconduct and won’t hesitate to sanction erring students. Therefore, we implore you to shun deviant behaviours and vices such as cultism, hooliganism, corruption, among others and embrace behaviors and conduct that reflect the ideals of responsible students and members of the society. I need to further advise you to be modest and decent in your dressing as well as approaches to issues.”

“My dear matriculating students, I want to assure you that your security on campus is guaranteed. We, however, plead with you to report any suspicious activities to the school authorities for immediate action. In addition, your host community is full of loving people, and the town is known to exude peace. Your part is to abide by its rules and regulations, which you will learn with time.”
