The Oyo State Resident Commissioner, REC, of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mutiu Agboke has warned all political parties in the state not to embark on fresh Presidential and National Assembly campaigns.
Agboke said that Presidential and National Assembly campaigns had been constitutionally brought to a close two days ago, stressing that anyone embarking on campaigns toward these elections was violating the law of the land.
The INEC boss said, “We have not extended campaign period and not political party should embark on campaign for presidential and National Assembly Elections”.
He, however, noted that campaign for Governorship and State Assembly were on-going and would stop three days to the elections.
