Former governor Rashidi Ladoja has agreed to join the newly African Democratic Congress, ADC, reports say.
Recall that members of the breakaway faction of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Unity Forum, had joined the ADC few weeks ago after the national leadership of APC failed to address the leadership crisis that rocked the party after the congress
Former secretaries to the state government, Chief Adeniyi Koleoso, Barr. Sharafadeen Alli, Chief Titilola Awakan as well as Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin are also expected to join ADC.
Ladoja was reported to have told 16 out of the 32 Oyo State House of Assembly members who met at his Ondo Street, Bodija, Ibadan residence, that he was set to leave the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
This is coming few days after Ladoja visited Koleoso and Dr Busari Adebisi who is one of the leaders of Unity Forum who joined ADC.
Ladoja has been dissatisfied with the outcome of the PDP’s panel on the crisis that trailed last year’s congress. The party had been factionalized along Seyi Makinde and Ladoja lines, owing to irreconcilable differences. Recently, the party came up with a recommendation, replacing Ladoja’s loyalists with those of Makinde, in the process of harmonisation.
