Special Adviser to Gov Makinde on Tourism and culture, Hon Akeem Ademola Ige has described the reintroduction of History into teaching curriculum in oyo state primary schools as a great step that will enhance cultural rejuvenation and promote moral values.
Ige, the former council boss and Baameto Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland in a statement said he was happy with the development and urge the teachers and other stakeholders to embrace the development.
According to him, apart from enriching the young ones about the past, they will understand and get more information about our cultural and moral values which if applied to their daily living will make our society a better place.
“I am elated with the development and i want to commend the governor, the ministry and SUBEB for the initiative, it is indeed a pathway to restore sanity onto the society.
