Lagelu/Akinyele Constituency: Aspirants Allege Lafioye Of Rigging, Say No Room For Manipulation

Aspirants under the platform of All Congress Congress (APC) in Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency have exposed alleged plan by Hon. Wasiu Lafioye to rig the party primary holding today.

The aspirants, Hassan Giwa, Olasupo Philips and Modinat Adeyemo, in a statement jointly signed, alleged that Hon. Lafioye has printed result sheets for the primary election that will hold today.

They expressed that all his desperate moves have been exposed and there is no room for him to manipulate the outcome of today’s primary.

According to them, “we discovered that Hon. Lafioye in his desperate moves has printed result sheets for the APC primary election coming up today. One of his errand boys was sighted at Mokola in Ibadan where he printed the result sheets.

“Hon. Lafioye knows he has lost the primary election and that is why he is so desperate and willing to do anything to manipulate the process. And we will stood our ground legally to block all his moves to frustrate the exercise.”

The aspirants who have petitioned the Commissioner of Police, Director of the State Security Service, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and APC Chairman over plan by Hon. Lafioye to force the party chairmen in Lagelu and Akinyele Local Governments to hold the primary in his home town.

They stated that hidden plan of Hon. Lafioye to manipulate the outcome of the primary election making him to force the party chairmen and leaders to his choice of venue.

The aspirants has stated safety of all and sundry is what that is paramount to them, saying that holding primary election at Lalupon, the home town of Hon. Lafioye is dangerous for them as aspirants, electoral panel, party executive, INEC staff and all members of the party.

Meanwhile, efforts to get reactions from Hon Lafioye was abortive.
