In a bid to curb the spate of insecurity in Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, the council chairman, Hon. Sunday Johnson Busayo has donated motorcycles to security operatives in Ogbooro and Agbonle in a low key event held at the local council headquarters Ogbooro in the Oke Ogun area of Oyo state.
The security operatives that benefitted from the donation were Nigeria Police, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Oyo state Vigilante Group in Ogbooro and Agbonle.
The council Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Sunday Johnson Busayo in his address urged the security operatives to make judicious use of the operational motorcycles to ensure the safety of lives and properties across the local council.
The chairman also expressed confidence that with the motorcycles donated by his administration to the security operatives, it will assist them to tackle the challenges of armed robbery, cattle rustling, kidnapping and other criminal acts that could scuttle peace and order in the local council area and Oyo state in general.
Responding on behalf of Supol Gota Blessing, the Divisional Police Officer, Ogbooro Division, Supol Oni Kayode commended the council chairman and the state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for placing security at the fore front of their agenda.
Meanwhile, the NSCDC Divisional Officer Ifeloju LCDA, Deputy Supritendent Aruda Samuel, Oyo State Vigilante group coordinator in Ogbooro and Agbonle, Mr. Ajibade Benjamin, Oyo State Vigilante Group Coordinator in Agbonle Mr. Azeez Razaq expressed their appreciation to the council administration for the good gesture as such will help them discharge their duties in maintaining law and order.
The chairman, Sunday Johnson Busayo also commanded the Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of Ifeloju LCDA.
He promised to continue to uphold the tenants of the Seyi Makinde-led government at the grassroots.
Present at the event were Lawmaker representing Saki East and Atisbo Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly Hon. Riliwan Gbadamosi (Wale Canada), Chairman People’s Democratic Party Saki East Local Government Elder Okunlade Bamikunle (JP), Council members, Staff of the local council, Ifeloju LCDA party leaders, women leaders, local executives, and state party stakeholders.
