The chairmanship candidate of the People Democratic Party, PDP, in Ibarapa North Local Government Area, Hon Lateef Akorede on Friday visited the family of the slain Fifty-six year old farmer, Babarinde Mufutau in Tapa.
Tapa is a town in Ibarapa North local government area of Oyo state.
Recall that insideoyo.com had earlier reported that Mufutau, a native of Tapa, Ibarapa North Local Government Area, Oyo State was said to have been attacked at Orita Meta, Konko Village around 7PM on Wednesday.
The attack, allegedly perpetrated by suspected Fulani herders, was carried out while the deceased was on his way home from his farm.
While speaking, Akorede said the Seyi Makinde-led Oyo state government will bring the perpetrators to book.
He urged the family to have trust in the government and security agencies in addressing the security challenges facing Ibarapa and the state in general.
He also promised, if elected, he will make security of lives and properties priority and to be the first thing to attend to.
While urging people to be vigilant in their communities, he advised them to report any suspicious move or activities around them to the security agencies.
