The convener of the Oyo State Most Influential Award Series, Olalekan Olanrewaju, has announced that the voting categories for the Man, Woman, and Youth of the year will close on the 10th of January, 2023.

Olarenwaju, the CEO/Publisher of Ibadan Media Ltd disclosed this during a press conference with newsmen on Saturday, in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

He said: “We have 3 voting categories and 2 non-voting categories. Voting is ongoing presently for Man, Woman, and Youth of the year, which are the voting categories, and voting will close on the 10th of January, 2023.

“We have amazing prizes for the winners of these categories. First, one of the best travelling agency in the country as of today, Ufitfly, will be giving the winner all expenses paid trip to Rwanda in Kigali – 5 days and 4 nights. Also, the winner of the Youth will be given 300square meter of landed property and ambassadorial endorsement deal by AdBond properties. AdBond will also be presenting tangible gifts to the Man and Woman winners on the day of the event.

While speaking on other categories of the awards, Olarenwaju Ola also mentioned the media partners are ready for collaborations to make the event successful.

He said further: “The 2 none voting categories are 100 Most Influential People and Brands, and the honorary category. Honorary category is given to veterans, highly valued personalities in the society, and those that supported the event in one way or the other, while the 100 Most Influential category is given base on their influence for the year in view, and this category is selected by the board of jury, there are 10 categories and there are certain number of people we select per category.

“Also, I will like to let you know our media plans, I am glad to inform you that, we are in partnership with the popular veteran journalist and broadcaster in Oyo State, Chief Yemi Sonde, owner of YES 101.7FM, also with the Role Model Entertainment Ltd, owned by Alh. Babatunde Saheed, popularly known as Mr. Sports, the veteran broadcaster and owner of EOB Live, Mr. Enitan Olusegun Bamidele. Also we also have the support of the Oyo state government as it is proudly endorsed by the government.”

Also speaking further on the voting process, he emphasized that the process is going to be transparent as they have the support of WATU, a fintech company.

“We have a website which we use for the general information about the event and for nomination, www.oyomostinfluentialawards.com.

“Also, the ongoing voting for Man, Woman, Youth of the year is in partnership with WATU, a fintech company. We embrace this partnership in other to have a rigid and transparent voting process, the voting is being displayed immediately anyone voted for anybody, and the winners of the 3 categories will be known exactly on the day the voting ended, the results cannot be tampered or manipulated.”

The event which started in 2017 is set to take place at Manhattan Hall, Jericho Ibadan.

Lamiju Alao-Akala 2023 APC Candidate for Ogbomoso North, South and Orire South Consistency, Engr. Goodness Morakinyo CEO/Founder Valencia Schools Ibadan, Mr. David Egwin (Radio Dandy) OAP Fresh105.9FM, Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, Lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency l.

Some of the dignitaries for the Woman for the year categories includes Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde
(Oyo State First Lady), Mrs Victoria Ademola Samson (Managing Director of BOVAS Group), Dr. (Chief) Florence Ajimobi (Immediate Past Oyo State First Lady),
Alhaja Saratu Aduke, (Iyaloja-General of Oyo State)

Some of Man Of The Year Categories includes Prince Akinremi Olaide (Jagaban) (HoR, Ibadan North Fed. Constituency), Engr. Seyi Makinde (Executive Governor of Oyo State, PDP Gubernatorial Candidate), Sen. Teslim Kolawole Folarin (2023 APC Gubernatorial Candidate), Chief Adebayo Adelabu (2023 Accord Gubernatorial Candidate), Engineer (Mogaji) Olasunkanmi Joseph Tegbe
