This was as the former vice president, leadership of ATIKU/Okowa campaign organization in the southern Nigeria also declared support for the reelection bid of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state urging the crowd to ensure they cast their votes for all PDP candidates from top to bottom.

Adeniji made this declaration while addressing the mammoth crowd today at Mapo, venue of the event after disembarking from a city wide support rally tagged “freedom walk for Atiku”.

The Director-general of Atiku/Okowa presidential campaign organization in the southern Nigeria, Engr. Adeniji who represented the former PDP presidential candidate said, next month’s presidential election is an fresh opportunity before Nigerians to choose between continued bondage under an APC rule or freedom PDP is offering.

Adeniji stated that Atiku is the only nationalist with qualities of a genuine unifier who has vast knowledge and experience in managing both human and material resources among all the contenders for the number office in the land stressing that a vote for APC rule beyond 2023 is a vote to keep Nigeria in perpetual bondage.

He also said Atiku has promised to ensure state police and autonomy for local government become a reality under his government. He lamented the current insecurity across every region stressing the need to expedite action on improving community policing.

“If you get to Atiku’s house today, you’ll find his children who have Yoruba blood as well as Igbo and Hausa respectively. His first wife, Chief Mrs. Titilayo Atiku is our daughter and that makes Atiku our in-law so, let nobody lie or deceive you with a deceitful ethnic mantra.

“Atiku’s mission is designed to rest on his 5-point agenda with qualitative education, adequate security and national cohesion and bonding atop of it all. Atiku is the only man who is not sectional among them all. Atiku will unite Nigerians and put an end to ethnic suspicion among us. Atiku will also open our borders to enable legitimate transnational trade between Nigeria and its neighboring nations.

“We urge you to make sure you remain resolute in your minds to against all temptations and falsehood vote Atiku as our next president as well as Governor Seyi Makinde and all PDP candidates from top to bottom. The coming election is not about tribe or religion but of quality and purposeful leadership which Atiku promises so, please, be deliberate in your resolve to reject any form of campaign against Atiku Abubakar or any PDP candidate.” Engr. Adeniji said.

In her remark, former Minister of State for FCT, Ms Jumoke Akinjide reiterated that Oyo state remains a PDP state and will continue to be beyond 2023 urging the people to vote for Atiku, Governor Makinde and all PDP candidates in the coming general elections.

“It will be PDP from top to bottom. We will work for it and we will make sure no stone is left unturned to achieve 100 percent success in the coming elections. Atiku will win, Makinde will win, all our Senatorial, House of Reps and state assembly candidates will win by God’s grace.

“When Atiku becomes the president, Oyo state will be the number one in the south west that’ll benefit from federal opportunities in terms of appointments and considerations for developmental projects because Oyo state is the political headquaters of the entire south west.

“Tomorrow, we will be all out for the official flag-off of our governorship campaign. Our own Seyi Makinde must win by God’s grace. But we’re also expecting strange visitors. If they come and speak ill of PDP, you already know what response to give to them, next election is victory for PDP from top to bottom.”

Others who spoke including former deputy Governor, Hazeem Gbolarumi and former Minister of the federal republic, Elder Wole Oyelese urged the people not to fight anyone or respond to any temptation for provocation. They urged the people to vote for PDP candidates in all the ballots and ensure the party emerges victorious at the coming polls.
