Seun Fakorede, the former commissioner of Youth and Sports in Oyo state has said the dissolution of the executive council members by Governor Seyi Makinde is in the interest of the state.

Fakorede, who recently married, in a Facebook post on Thursday, said the news came to him as shock as many people, but expressed gratitude to the government.

He said, “As an individual, I am most grateful to have been recognised by His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, to work with him as a Commissioner and member of the State Executive Council.

“Though, I understand the fact that the news of our dissolution would have come as a shock to many a people (myself inclusive) but; I make bold to say that the Governor acted in the best interest of the good people of the State.

“My one year and few months in active service of the State, with the Governor as the Captain has exposed me to meaningful leadership orientation, and, I’ll forever be grateful to the Governor for granting me an opportunity to serve and contribute my quota to the development of Oyo State.”

Fakorede said he has handed over to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Pastor Dele Oyadeyi, and expressed sincere appreciation to member of Staff of the Ministry for their cooperation.
