The president of Ladoke Akintola University Technology Students’ Union Government, Oluwaseun Abiodun has dispelled the rumours that he was suspended by the university authority because he joined the People Democratic Party (PDP) governorship campaign train on the university campus.

Abiodun in a statement issued and made available to InsideOyo.com, said he was illegaly suspended by the Senate President of the Union and not the management.

“My attention has been drawn to news making wave on social media of my suspension by the University Management, as a result of a political rally by a gubernatorial Candidate in the School premises.

“It is pertinent, I made it clear to the general public, that the student Union was proscribed as a result of unresolved and unreconcilable crisis that ensued between the Central Executive Council and the Legislative arm of the Union, over an acclaimed suspension of the Student Union President, the General Secretary and the Public Relations Officer (PRO), by the Senate President through a medium unconstitutional, undemocratic and a one based on parochial sentiments and pulling down the government by all means, the Senate president has embarked upon this since the beginning of the administration.

“This led to a face off between the Central executive council and the Parliamentary arm of the Union and all efforts to resolve the crisis by the school management that was abortive by both party, led to the proscription of the Union to avoid further crisis or any blood shed.

The SU President said he was never suspended by the School management just as he remain a bonafide student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso.
