Engineer Najeem Omirinde, the Chairman of Oyo state Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, (OYORUWASSA) has urged Muslims to emulate the inherent lessons in the life of Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
Omirinde gave the advice in a message to Muslims in Saki and Oyo state at large, on Sunday.
He also urged Muslims to look beyond the celebration and reflect deeply on the essence of Eid-Maulud and imbibe the lessons therein.
Eid-Maulud is considered an important day for Muslims all across the world as it connotes the birth of Prophet Muhammed.
He said the Holy Prophet, during his lifetime, was an epitome of humility, good neighbourliness, understanding and love and admonished that the Islamic faithful should imbibe the qualities.
He said: “I want to use this opportunity to felicitates Muslim faithful in Saki and Oyo state in general over the celebration of this year’s Mawlid nabbiy.
“As Mawlid nabbiy connotes the birth of Prophet Muhammed (SAW), let me urge everyone to emulate the Prophet.”
