Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (SOLAN) has charged Muslims to continue on the paths of righteousness which they began trudging during the just concluded Holy Month of Ramadan.
Lanlehin, Oyo State leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), while congratulating Islamic faithful on the successful completion of this year’s fast, urged them to take to heart, the lessons learnt.
“Self denial, piety, purity and compassion, which were the hallmarks of the Holy Month, and which were thoroughly imbibed during Ramadan, should be continued, even after,” Lanlehin appealed.
While praying that the benefits of the exercise will not elude all faithful Muslims, he called on them to continually live their lives in total obedience, and acceptance of Allah’s sovereignty, same way they faithfully did in the Month of Ramadan.
Lanlehin, who congratulated the Oyo State governor, Engr Seyi Makinde and his deputy, Engr Rauf Olaniyan, on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el Fitr, wished them God’s guidance and help in the onerous task before them.
