The former Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor, Chief Bisi Ilaka has congratulated Christians in Oyo Central Senatorial District and across the globe on the occasion of year 2022 Easter season.

This was contained in a statement made available to the newsmen by his aide on Digital Communications, Kehinde Owolabi on Friday.

According to the statement Ilaka said “this day symbolizes the victory of good over evil, hope over despair and life over death.”

Going further, the Ladilu of Oyo Kingdom called the Passover a celebration of both liberation and new life.

He said: “His wish is that the Passover holiday reminds us of the hope that can sustain us as a people. I enjoy Christians across Oyo Central senatorial district ( Oyo West, Lagelu,Ona Ara, Surulere,Egbeda, Ona Ara, Oyo East, Atiba,Oluyole, Akinyele, Afijo and Ogo oluwa Local governments) and around the world to relive the events of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, rejoice in His fulfillment and promise of salvation, and give prayerful thanks for the assurance of God’s forgiving love.”

Chief Bisi Ilaka drew attention to the tragic consequences of humanity’s refusal to forgive.

“Across the globe, in places large and small, we have all witnessed how ancient feuds, ethnic tensions, old hatreds and prejudices have torn apart families, communities and nations for decades, and continue to bring suffering to our world.”

He also noted that as Humans, we have been called to share forgiveness with others. He admonished us to reflect God’s love and forgiveness in all our ways.

The Oyo Central Senatorial hopeful concluded by admonishing everyone to join hands with him to do the work of lifting the yoke of poverty and oppression that crushes so many lives in our country.

“In the forthcoming elections, we have the golden opportunity to rescue our nation from this abyss.” he concluded.
