Concession Can’t Be Done By Proxy – Saki West PDP Aspirants Say No To Imposition

Aspirants for the Oyo State House of Assembly under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Saki West State Constituency have reacted to the purported adoption of an aspirant as the candidate of the party in the forthcoming election.

The aspirants in a statement released by Barrister Hassan Ajibade on behalf of the aspirants and made available to newsmen on Monday said consensus cannot be reached by proxy.

They said they are not aversed to the consensus arrangements and urged Governor to ensure the needful is done adding that they should be carried along

The statement read: “On behalf of myself and Messers K Koleosho, Agbarikewu, M Aderogba,. Seyi Olanrewaju, A Bagbansoro & Wahab Sikiru Adekola all being aspirants for Saki-West State Constituency on the platform of our Great Party, PDP, I am directed to inform you Sir and other Leading Stakeholders that while we are not aversed to the consensus arrangements , we however wish to say that rumours making round is that a particular aspirant has been favoured and or picked without our concession.

“We respectively state unequivocally that concession cannot be done by proxy. We have seen ourselves as a family who should be informed or taken into consideration vis a vis every stages of the arrangements. We are afraid that the slot may have been doled out to a particular aspirant on a platter.

“We are all interested and have done our assignment and reliably gathered that there’s no automatic ticket by His Excellency and we don’t want to be seen as doing a different thing. Sir, kindly ensure that needful is done to douse the tension brewing at home on account of being put in the dark.

“We owe our teeming supporters explanation as to how a candidate for the State House will emerge.
