…Passes Vote of Confidence on Makinde


Councillors in Atisbo, Saki East and Saki West local government areas have urged local government chairmen in the state to provide good governance to enable them market Governor Seyi Makinde ahead of the 2023 general elections.


The councillors who met on Tuesday at the Saki West local government secretariat also passed a court of confidence on Governor Seyi Makinde.


These were contained in a communique signed by leaders of the House of the three local government areas namely Hon. Waheed Taiwo A (Atisbo), Hon. Adeduntan Benjamin (Saki East) and Hon. Fasasi Qoudri Amao (Saki-West).


According to the communique, the lawmakers also appreciated all the political leaders across the three local government areas on their efforts towards the success of the ward and local government congresses recently concluded.


The communique reads in part: “We, the councillors in Saki-West, Saki-East and Atisbo Federal Constituency held a meeting at Saki- west Local Government secretariat and resolved as follows:


“1. We passed a vote of confidence in His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde.


“2. We appreciated all the political leaders across the three local government areas on the just concluded ward and local government congresses.


“3. We also urged all the chairmen to provide good governance so as to deliver for our amiable Governor ahead of the 2023 election.”
