The Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande has wished the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its gubernatorial candidate, Chief Biodun Oyebanji success in the gubernatorial election taking place in Ekiti State today.

Professor Akande who spoke with journalists at the sidelines of a communications event in Abuja on Friday noted that the APC remains the best political party to pilot the affairs of Ekiti State and Nigeria at this point in time.

Akande noted that under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC at the national level, Nigeria has been able to weather the storm of many challenges and the party needs the support of Nigerians to consolidate on its achievements.

Akande dismissed fears about the gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, noting the the APC has done well enough to triumph at the poll.

“I was at the carnival-like rally of the APC in Ekiti on Tuesday. The turn out of party faithful and the enthusiasm they exhibited were demonstrative of the strength of the party in Ekiti State and indeed across the country.

“The presence of the presidential flag bearer and leader of the party, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu added great impetus to the readiness of members of the party in Ekiti State to once again deliver the state to the party.

“We as members of the APC are not in doubt that we shall emerge victorious in the Ekiti election”, he concluded.
