The Aspirants for the Ibadan North East and Ibadan South East Federal Constituency has forwarded their petition to the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress on the electoral fraud that characterized the cancelled election.

In the consensus letter signed by Honourable Semiu Oladimeji Alao, Honourable Mrs Adebola Shakirat Adetunji, Honourable Ibraheem Olayode Iyiola agreed that the “election cannot proceed because of the following reason.

“The election delegated list is a manipulated delegate lists which does not reflect the true position of stakeholders. This is a compromise in our previous harmonization process for the derivation of an encompassing and inclusive delegate list of all party stakeholders”.

Another reason that necessitated the cancellation included, “the venue for the election is prone to violence and vulnerable to attack by miscreants and area boys. There is also breach of security and over population of unsolicited crowds and crooks”.

“The lateness in accreditation of delegates till past 6pm after which there is yet to be commencement of election which further led to the cancellation”.

They further solicited for the support of the National Chairman in order to bring about sanity and entertain their plea.
