FINALLY, Governor Abiola Ajimobi has succumbed to pressure over the choice of his brother, Alhaji Teslim Ajimobi, as chairman of Ibadan South East local government.
He will replace Hon. Najeemdeen Bolaji who has been there for over 4 years.
The nominees will be screened today by members of the Oyo State House of Assembly.
For long, Ajimobi, Inside Oyo learnt, had rejected plea, especially by members of his immediate family, to use his brother.
It was further gathered that Teslim ‘designed’ the governor’s marriage to Mrs. Florence Ajimobi. “It was he who ‘forced’ his elder brother to marry the first lady. She likes the woman and would not want his brother marry another woman.
Also, out of his many brothers, Ajimobi listens to Teslim more. In fact, when the family was to nominate somebody from their compound as Mogaji, Teslim was his choice before the name of Wasiu, who has been elevated to the position of Bada, was forwarded.
Teslim is said to be humble and cool.
