Governor Abiola Ajimobi is set to renovate about 100 schools in the next six months in a continuous efforts at rejuvenating education system in Oyo state.
About three schools would be selected in each of the 33 local government areas in the state.
The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Adeniyi Olowofela, disclosed this in a chat with The Nation Newspaper in Ibadan, the state capital.
Olowofela said the project would build on the establishment of School Governing Boards (SGB) for each school, introduction of N1,000 development levy for each pupil per term as well as implementation of the “no automatic promotion” policy.
