He said that “any government that admits failure like Seyi Makinde’s adminstration should resign especially when it concerns insecurity, environmental sanition, education and infrastructural development.

“Refuse collection process is no more in place. We need more out of town dump sites in Oyo State. We can even convert waste to wealth. Refuse is now being converted to wealth in other states.”

Adelabu attributed the failure of the Seyi Makinde administration to lack of sincerity and competence.

His words: “Seyi Makinde stopped me from reconstructing the destroyed police station in Oyo State. Nothing has been done about it up till this moment.

“They stole our solar street lights idea. They copied it and started using diesel that they themselves supply, now they want to be using gas to power solar light in 2022.”

The Former CBN Deputy Governor also reiterated his 7-point agenda aimed at reawakening the economy with agriculture, improved security, quality education, qualitative health care, improved social infrastructure and industrialization.

He said: ”We will employ more teachers, train them more and reintroduce the Inspectorate Division for the ministry of education for proper monitoring. We will improve welfare of students, provide good libraries and laboratories of high standards and improve the school structures.”

Adelabu lamented the continued delay in payment of backlogged arears of pensions and gratuity to retired workers, stressing that he would ensure they are promptly paid if elected.

“I’m an accountant, I know how to source fund, we will promptly pay all workers. Workers will not only be promptly paid but properly trained in order to qualify for due promotion and other emoluments.” He said.

Adelabu also hinted on the possibility of a coalition towards the success of all Accord candidates in the forthcoming 2023 general election.

He dismised the possibility of dropping his ambition to return to the All Progressive Congress, APC adding that he has the allegence of chieftains of other political parties in the state supporting his ambition and those of other candidates of Accord in the coming election .

His words: “Accord is in the election to win overwhelmingly. Accord has been voting since 2011. It is a grassroots party.

“Accord can merge with APC or PDP if they are ready to support my candidature as Accord guber candidate along with our other candidates.

“Accord is the most superior party in this coming election in Oyo State. All our candidates are superior, people who are achievers in their private capacities with character and integrity.”
