In the bid to ensure victory at the 2023 presidential election for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the Southwest Zonal Abridged Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled major committees to ensure success.
The National Vice Chairman of party in Southwest, Isaac Kekemeke, disclosed this during a press conference, on Wednesday, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state.
He stated that the party has set up an APC advisory committee which will work with the zonal executives and other leaders of the party to ensure total victory for APC.
Members of the Advisory Committee are: Otunba Niyi Adebayo; Chairman, Chief Bayosolu Akinyelure; Co-Chairman.
Other members are Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, Pastor Bamidele Oluwajana, Chief Henry Ajomale and Mr Vincent Bewaji as Secretary.
Kekemeke also identified that the committee also set up six reconciliation committees to be headed by eminent leaders in the party and will ensure all in-house rifts are settled, making sure that all party members will work together for 2023 victory.
He identified that the members of the committee will soon be made available.
Also, he noted that the APC Southwest Zonal Abriged committee has set up a Southwest Special Committee On Eminent Persons Engagement which will ensure that all party stakeholders and leaders are performing their expected duties towards the victory of 2023 presidential election.
The committee will be chaired by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
Other members includes, Senator Iyiola Omisore, Chief Isaac Kekemeke, all the six chairman of the party in the Southwestern states; Ondo, Ekiti, Lagos, Oyo, Osun, and Ogun, the zonal woman leader of the party, National ex-officials, members of the national executive committee
While answering questions from the newsmen of what exactly are the duties of these committees, Kekemeke said “The committee for the Southwest Special Committee On Eminent Persons Engagement is different from the reconciliatory committee. We are setting up six reconciliatory teams that will be visiting each of the state, the committee on eminent persons engagement will be identifying leaders of the party who are not doing what they should do, to ensure that all of us are on the same page.
“In all of these, assurances will be given, and there will be benefit for all and no one will be discriminated against”
Responding to questions of if there’s any concern for the many support groups in the name of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the National Vice Chairman said “We are not worried at all. It shows the popularity of our candidate, the character of him and that everybody wants to be seen working for him, and I know that at the appropriate time, they will all be recognized.”
Present at the press conference includes, Oyo State APC chairman, Isaac Omodewu and other party leaders in the Southwest.
