A former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, on Saturday, urged President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission for rescheduling the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Ladoja stated this at his Ibadan residence on Saturday in reaction to the postponement of the 2019 general elections.
The former governor and leader of the Zenith Labour Party in Oyo state urged INEC to cancel the distributed ballot papers because it has been exposed.
He said if he were President Buhari, he would have sacked all the national leadership of the electoral body for disgracing the nation at the international community and showing sign of incompetent.
“A bunch of incompetent people are taking the country for a ride. I will sack the national leadership of INEC because they are the one doing it.
“ It is sad. Mr President should sack them. they have destroyed the credibility of Nigeria and Nigerians in the international community. This is criminal negligence. Schools have closed down. Now, are they going to say the children should stay at home again till next week? It is sad.”
