Junior Lokosa, Stephen Eze, Uche Agbo and former Shooting stars FC of Ibadan goalkeeper, Dele Ajiboye have been dropped from 2018 World cup team by the Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr. Also dropped is injured Moses Simon.

Insideoyo.com gathered that the Super Eagles players met President Buhari on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa with the five players mentioned above in absential. A tweet by a notable sports pundit, Bolarinwa Olajide confirmed it.

“OFFICIAL: Dele Ajiboye, Moses Simon, Stephen Eze, Junior Lokosa and Uche Agbo have been dropped from the 30-man Super Eagles list.

“Two more will be dropped after the friendly match with England on Saturday.”

Recall that insideoyo.com early reported that Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr may consider former 3SC of Ibadan star for the 2018 Russia World Cup after his inspiring performance at the 2018 African Nations Championship in Morocco.

Ajiboye made some brave saves to help the Super Eagles reach the CHAN final after coming on for first choice goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa, who was injured in the 13th minute of the semifinal against Sudan.

Rohr will further trim his squad to 23 after Saturday’s friendly with England
