The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Senatorial Candidate in Oyo North Senatorial District, Hon Akinwole Solomon Akinwale (Wolekanle), has commended the Oyo state Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, Party leaders, and other critical stakeholders for their unflinching support in ensuring that he won the party’s ticket.

Akinwole who has been cleared as the party flagbearer also thanked party members, and teeming supporters for building trust and support in him during the primary election and promised not to betray the confidence reposed in him.

Wolekanle has been issued a certificate of return by the party’s National Headquarters, Abuja which was duly signed by the party’s National Chairman Senator Iyorcha Ayu, the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyawu, and National Organizing Secretary, Hon Umar M Bature.

Speaking with the Journalists after receiving his certificate of return from the party’s office, the Ogbomoso-born entrepreneur said he is prepared to work with all the stakeholders in ensuring that PDP retains the state and wins at the national level in 2023.

According to him “I am confident that PDP will win all seats in 2023, people of Oyo state want continuity of good governance which they are enjoying under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde and they will surely vote for the party again.”

While extending an olive branch to the aggrieved members of the party, Wolekanle said, “Obviously not everybody will be on the same page with each other in the game of politics but as lovers of progress, it is important for us to come together, work together in the interest of our people and progress of our nation.”
