In quest of empowering women in the society, Rev Funke Olatunji has called on women to stand tall against all challenges in making themselves worthy in the society.
Olatunji made this known during the Alter Praise staged to remember her late husband, Mr Aderemi Olatunji at the Salem Baptist Church, Yemetu Aladorim, Ibadan.
She advised all singles and widows to surrender to God.
Her words: “I am so happy and I can’t believe today has turn to a reality. It has been from favor to favor, Glory to Glory and all I can say to single women/widows is surrender all fight to God. When I had mine, I ensured that I put more into myself by working hard to make sure I realize my dream.
“The moment I surrendered all to Christ and take Christ into my life, I have been enjoying good things in my life and with Christ, even my husband’s death is nothing to me.”
Rev Olatunji also said the family is kick starting a project to help widows and children as many as possible. She explained that they are calling all to donate into the project so as to spread the goodness of the Lord.
Also speaking at the event, Rev Dr. Adenike Victor Tade popularly known as Mama Empowerment praised the spirit of leadership in the life of Rev Olatunji as she is seen as a great example to many people .
She eulogized her hardworking spirit despite the death of her husband and she has been able to put all beside her for a greater future.
“I have known her for 15 years and she has been a very wonderful woman, very creative and a great example to women all over the world.”
“She gave everything to the people and she is the type that doesn’t like to see people depressed and that is why I said to single mothers to follow the footsteps of our mother and be ready to stand again,”
