Shittu Writes Oyegun, Complains About Ajimobi’s Undemocratic Actions (See Full Letter)

As the crisis in the Oyo State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress deepens, the Communication Minister, Barrister Abdulraheem Adebayo Shittu has written and appeal letter to the National Chairman of the party, Cheif John Oyegun, complaining about the undemocratic conducts and actions of the governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

In the letter dated 5th of June, 2018 which was obtained by insideoyo.com, the Saki-born minister of communications also copied other major stake holders of the party including the leaders of the National Assembly.

Recall that since day of the party’s ward Congress in the state, the party in Oyo state has divided into two major factions – the Unity Forum and the Senaco Group. Adebayo Shittu belongs to Unity Forum of the party alongside other major stakeholders in the party while Governor Abiola Ajimobi belongs to the Senaco group and his team also.

The letter which was titled “Appeal to save the soul of All Progressives Congress, Oyo State Chapter” cited numerous actions taken by the governor without proper consultation of party elders and members which made the party lost two bye-elctions in the state. He also stated in the letter, the action of the governor in the state House of Assembly speakership election.
