Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the five local government areas which make up the Ogbomoso zone have expressed readiness to commit fully to the course of the party, notwithstanding seeming grievances.

The stakeholders who converged on the Ogbomoso Parapo Hall, Apake, Ogbomoso in large numbers to receive the Senator Olufemi Lanlehin-led Reconciliation Committee, who had commenced a tour of the state from the zone, featured attendees from Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Surulere and Ogooluwa, who all bared their minds; laying out their grievances and profering possible solutions to identified problematic areas.

In his welcome address, a leader of the party, Engr. Dayo Lawal commended the Committee for starting its onerous assignment from the Ogbomoso zone, as he informed that leaders within the zone had done so much work underneath, which more or less had practically softened the ground for the Committee.

One after the other, aspirants for various elective positions while narrating their ordeals, restated that notwithstanding the seeming unpalatable experiences they went through, their commitment to the course of the party remained unshaken. This they opined was because majority of them were progressive in nature, as well as the fact that they had tremendous respect for the capacity of the Lanlehin Reconciliation Committee to calm all frayed nerves.

Hon. Peter Odetomi, a former Commissioner in the state, who also spoke at the gathering, expressed his unflinching commitment to the APC, but charged the party to constantly reward loyalty, so that members will have a sense of belonging and put in their all for the party’s success at the polls.

Leaders from the Ogbomoso zone who attended the meeting included Senator Brimmo Yusuff, Chief Bukola Badmus, Hon. Adeyemo Obadoba, Hon. Lanre Adigun, Hon. Moses Olaniyan, Hon. Israel Ogundiran and Chief Sunday Adewale.

Others included Mr. Adeyemo Ilufoye, Hon. Abidoye Bamigboye, Hon. Adetunji Aderogba, Chief Akkntunde Alao and Hon. Wumi Oladeji, a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, among other party stalwarts.

Alongside the Committee Chairman, members of the Reconciliation Committee on the tour were Chief Kehinde Balogun, Pastor Wale Adepoju, Baba E.O. Olaoye, Alh. Tajudeen Olanite, Alh. Akin Akande, Chief (Mrs.) Funke Olayanju, Dr. (Mrs.) Adepeju Esan and Comrade Ibrahim Bolomope.

Other Committee members on the train included Hon. Abass Akande, Hon. Wahab Oguntayo, Chief Lanre Oke, Pastor Akin Oke, Pa Suara Ogunyemi, Alh. Kareem Adebayo, Alh. Ayinla Kakako and Hon. Gaphar Ojetola.

The tour was rounded off in the Ogbomoso zone with courtesy calls on the duo of Chief Samson Adegoke (Maigida) and Chief Sobaloju Banji Olorode, zonal leader in the Ogbomoso zone, where both stalwarts appreciated the honour done them, which the courtesy call represented, pledging their continued support to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and all its candidates in the coming 2023 polls.
