A gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state in the last governorship primary, Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao, has fecilitated with Muslims in the state and the country on the celebrations of the Eid Al-kabir.

Alao in a Sallah message by his Media office, while noting that though the prevailing circumstances in the country may test the faith of many, emphasized the need for all to be united in building a country of our dreams.

The Asiwaju of Irokoland said the Sallah festival symbolizes sacrifice, love and obedience as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, urging the faithful to emulate him for peace, progress and unity of the country.

According to him, “The focus of this period is God’s love for mankind as demonstrated in the replacement of Ishmael with a ram in the test of faith for Prophet Ibrahim.

“It is thus important that we must sacrifice for others and remember always the less privileged as I believe that God will replace the bad times currently been experienced in the country.”

“I therefore join millions of people around the world, to wish our Muslim brothers and sisters in our dear state and in Nigeria happy Eid-el-Kabir, which comes with significant lessons for mankind.

“Eid al-Adha has become a symbolic event in the history of mankind, following the events that led to the sacrifice by Prophet Ibrahim, who held tenaciously to his faith in God despite his unpleasant circumstances at the time.”
