In a bid to get some suspended and rusticated students reinstated, the special assistant to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on students’  matters,‎ Mrs Fatima Hassan-Adeleke has paid a visit to the  Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo.

The institution had suspended and rusticated 4 and 15 students respectively last year.

Accompanied by some students’ leaders in the state, she was received the Provost of the institution, Prof Usman Kamarudeen Olayiwola and other management staff of the college.

Speaking on the visit, Hassan-Adeleke said issues pertaining to persisttent student/management crises were discussed, adding that ‎”This, I deemed fit, because the welfare of the students of Oyo State is my utmost priorit. Those suspended and rusticated can become the dregs of the society and juvenile deliquents that we are trying to reduce from our society.

“And again, such students may not have the opportunity to obtain a college certificate again in life. It’s due to these reasons that I met with the provost and appealed on their behalf. The meeting was fruitful, as the Provost in his magnanimity promised to revisit the issue soonest and. liase with the school governing board,” she added.
